× Devil’s Delight cake mix or go-to chocolate cake recipe.
× Green buttercream frosting.
× Wilton’s 233 tip. (grass tip)

× Bright Pink Fondant, toothpicks + Black and Yellow Edible Markers for details.
× Plastic mini lawn flamingos.
STEP 1: Bake a Devil’s Delight cake mix according to instructions in the box.
Once cooled out crum your cake and fill up your desired cups until reaching the top.
STEP 2: Optional – You may use some chocolate frosting to layer with the chocolate cake for a more moist parfait.
With a Wilton 233 tip. Pipe some grass using green buttercream frosting (recipe bellow) or store bought green frosting.
1 c. shortening (butter flavored)
1 c. butter
1½ tsp. vanilla extract
½ tsp. almond extract
7½ c. powdered sugar
⅓ c. heavy whipping cream
gel or paste green icing dye
In a large bowl, beat the shortening and butter until smooth and fluffy. Add the vanilla, almond extract and cream and mix until smooth. Add the powdered sugar 1-2 cups at a time, mixing well between each addition. Beat the frosting for an additional 4-5 minutes until light and fluffy. Using a toothpick, add the tiniest amount of dye at a time to the bowl of frosting to control your color. These dyes will color the frosting quickly, so there is no need to add too much.
STEP 3: As for the flamingos, you can top your parfaits with chocolate shaped flamingos using bright pink candy melts and the mold linked above.
For an alternative, use pink fondant and shape them to your liking. Paint details with edible markers and poke a toothpick to stand them, we painted them black as well with black food coloring/edible black marker to mimic real like lawn flamingos.
If in a hurry, top with plastic decorative lawn flamingos.
Garnish with some sprinkles if desired.

White Chocolate Melts.
Cookie Crumbs 1/3 Cup.
Fondant (We used yellow, pink and green).
Brown m&m’s (Or round brown candy of choice).
Pirouline Chocolate cookies.
STEP 2: Spread melted chocolate on baking tray over non-stick parchment paper evenly to your desired thickness.
STEP 3: Dust over chocolate blended cookie crumbs while the chocolate has not harden yet.
STEP 4: Finish off by topping with fondant flowers and edible palm trees, using more melted chocolate to hold the pieces in place.
We used pirouline cookies, m&m’s (as coconuts) and we shapped green fondant to leaves.
